Let off some steam and connect with other carer mums in a fun, stress-busting wreck room session.
The NDIS Made Me Do It: Carer Mum Wreck Room Session 🔨
Sunshine Coast disability mums… this is not a drill.
Mum-First Method is heading to The Wreck Room for a chaotic, very legal, very supervised “The NDIS Made Me Do It” carer mum smash session.
This is a mum-only event for 8 mums raising children with disabilities/additional needs who need to get out of the house, release some extremely valid rage, laugh with women who actually get it, and then debrief over food and drinks afterwards.
Think overalls, slow-mo smashing, TikTok dances, stressed carer mum energy, rage against the machine, and laughing so we don’t cry.
Honestly, I reckon this is going to be iconic.
About this event
This event is for mums who are also carers of children with disabilities, complex needs, developmental delays, medical needs, or additional support needs.
If you are dealing with the therapy appointments, the NDIS admin, the daycare emails, the advocacy, the funding stress, the behaviour plans, the sleepless nights, the constant problem-solving, and the emotional load of caring for everyone else… this is your official permission slip to come and smash something.
In a helmet. With safety gear. In a completely supervised and legal environment.
We’ll be attending The Wreck Room as a small group of 8 mums and rotating through in two groups of four. There will be opportunities for fun content, photos, slow-mo smashing footage, and generally unhinged but wholesome carer mum energy.
Afterwards, for anyone who wants to stay, we’ll head up the road to Banana Bender Pub for food, drinks, connection, and a proper debrief.
No awkward networking vibes, and no formal support group energy! Just mums who get it, getting out of the house together.
Ticket price: $30 per person
Your ticket secures your spot in the group booking for a smash session of 20 items each + 1 large mystery item per group of four! Thanks to the Wreck Room for hooking us up.
Food and drinks afterwards at Banana Bender Pub are optional and purchased separately.
Who this is for
This event is for mums who are raising children with disabilities, additional needs, medical complexity, developmental delays, neurodivergence, or high support needs.
You do not need to “prove” anything. If you feel like this space is for you, it probably is.
What to wear
Wear closed-in shoes and comfortable clothes you can move in. The Wreck Room will provide required safety gear.
Content and photos
This is a content-friendly event, but you do not have to be filmed if you don’t want to be.
There may be group photos, videos, TikToks, slow-mo smashing footage, and social media content taken on the day.
Please only purchase a ticket if you are comfortable attending a social, content-friendly event. However, your individual filming/photo preferences will be respected.
After the session
After The Wreck Room, we’re planning optional kick-ons at Banana Bender Pub.
Come for a drink, order some carbs, laugh about life, trauma-bond over NDIS chaos, and actually connect with other mums who genuinely understand this world.
Important notes
This is a social event, not therapy, respite, childcare, or formal support.
This is a mum-only event. Children will not be attending this one.
Tickets are limited to 8 spots only.
Please only book if you genuinely intend to come, as spots are very limited.
Refund policy
Tickets are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled.
If you can no longer attend, please contact Courtney as soon as possible so your spot can be offered to another mum.
